This Chapter has no formal boundaries. Membership is open to all L-3 Communications employees working out of the Salt Lake division
Purpose: For L-3 employees who enjoy outdoor cooking. Our purpose is to preserve and promote the skills and art of Dutch Oven Cooking. We’ll help members learn the basics and educate people on proper Dutch oven care and cooking techniques.
Activities: Some of our monthly activities will include classes and demos taught by guest instructors, pot luck style Dutch Oven Gatherings (DOGs), and an annual Dutch Oven Cook-off.
Timeframe: All year, with most outdoor activities in the warmer months. The new club officially kicked off with a planning meeting in February.
Cost: Club activities (except our annual cook-off) will be open to L-3 employees at no cost. Official members will pay $30 per year, or $50 for two years. All dues will be paid directly to the International Dutch Oven Society (IDOS). L-3 employees who are current with their IDOS membership can join us for no additional cost. Membership includes eligibility to compete in our annual L-3 Cook-off, IDOS membership, subscription to the quarterly magazine Dutch Oven News, and all other IDOS activities.
