Membership Types All IDOS memberships are family memberships. This means that any immediate family members living at the current membership address (or your home address for those using a business address) are members of IDOS. Each membership recieves one IDOS newsletter and one yearly membership pin. An additional membership pin can be added to the membership for an additional three dollars at the time of enrollment or renewal. This limit is set at one to make sure we have enough pins for all the memberships throughout the membership year. Following the years membership period (January to December) any extra yearly membership pins are given as thank you gifts for donations to IDOS (see our IDOS Merchandise page).

Membership Expiration Dates All membership expiration dates are matched to the first of the months in which Newsletters are distributed. For example, if you are to receive your first newsletter in June of 2004, your expiration date will be set to June of 2005, one year later even if you sent your membeship application in April. For renewing members, if you have not missed a newsletter, your epiration date will be forwarded one year (i.e. from June 2004 to June 2005). If you have had an interruption in the delivery of your newsletters, you will be treated like a new member with regards to setting your new expiration date. If you have sent in money for more than one year's membership, you'r expiration will be set to the applicable year to give you that many years worth of membership. Expiration notices are sent for your renewal convenience a month before your expiration date.
